a person has to walk in another persons shoes for awhile to relate. Sometimes that is not possible but just showing human kindness can help. Thank you for your poetry.

This is so true. I work at a facility helping persons overcome alcohol/drug addictions. There tends to be presumptions about addicts; however, you would be heartbroken to learn of the abuse, etc. many of them endured long before their addictions.
